Truly, love knows no distance. Take Elvry and David, for instance. Their journey started in Japan and ended in beautiful Bali. I see many couples as a Bali wedding photographer. However, Elvry and David’s wedding stood out. It happened at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua. Specifically, it mixed international flair, military tradition, and Batak culture perfectly.
Homecoming for Love
The couple currently lives in Japan. Even so, they decided to marry in Bali. They made this choice for a reason. They wanted to be closer to Elvry’s family. Furthermore, Elvry is a cheerful Batak girl. She has a big smile. She wanted her favorite people around her on her big day. Meanwhile, David serves in the US Navy. He brought his own unique traditions to Bali.

Consequently, the event felt intimate yet grand. It honored heritage. At the same time, it celebrated a modern love story.
A Ceremony of Culture and Honor
First of all, the ceremony looked amazing. Elvry wore a beautiful Kebaya. It showed the elegance of Indonesian culture. On the other hand, David stood beside her. He looked sharp in his US Navy uniform. Additionally, his navy friends came to Bali to support him.

Moreover, the procession was very touching. Elvry has two mothers who love her. Therefore, she made a sweet choice. Both mothers walked her down the aisle. In fact, seeing her walk with them brought tears to many eyes.

Next, the mood changed after the vows. It became grand. The traditional US Military Sword Arch ceremony happened. Indeed, David’s colleagues raised their swords. This welcomed the newlyweds to the world.
A Night of Fireworks and Festivity
Later on, the reception started at The Westin. It was spectacular. Evidently, high energy filled the room right away. Guests enjoyed laughter and a champagne toast. Also, they played exciting games throughout the night.

In addition, the couple planned a surprise. They hired Balinese Fire Dancers. After that, fireworks lit up the sky. Ultimately, this created a magical backdrop for photos.
The After Party
However, the fun did not stop there. Finally, the party moved to the ballroom. A DJ played upbeat music. Elvry, David, and their friends danced the night away. In short, it was the perfect end to the day.
