I wanna tell the story about our wedding photo in Ubud Bali before covid. This inquiry came from Bridestory. Our client was Mela & Greg. Mela from Italy and Greg from UK. They met in Spain. We never meet before even after making a down payment and when they arrived in Bali. But we communicate well via WhatsApp. They are travelers. So, in this wedding, they did not invite many guests.
Gift in preparation
In the preparation session, they were separately. The bride and groom are not allowed to see each other even to see their clothes are not allowed. So in this session, Mela gave a present to Greg, which was handed over by his nieces.
They want their wedding event to seem more fun. So during the prep session, we prepared some more fun poses and scenes like opening champagne and pillow fights.
Wedding Ceremony
Before wedding ceremony start, we take some details photo of the wedding venue.
Same like Casal pelo Mundo, this wedding ceremony also uses an iPad for live streaming. Because not all family members can be present to witness this precious moment directly. So families who cannot attend can also witness this wedding ceremony and share in the joy.
Wedding Reception
The ceremony was over and we entered the reception. The reception was very intimate. We also feel that we are part of their family. There is one unique thing about this reception. Where usually the couple only cut the cake, this time because Greg really likes pork, they also did the suckling pig.
During the event breaks, they also provide a number of games that make the intimacy between guests even more pronounced.
Seeing something unique, we also have an idea to make a ring photo look unique. We put the ring between the male and female images then added lights from below using a cellphone flashlight. This photo is also our best photo and won an award in a wedding photo contest organized by WedWar.
Fun and Crazy
In this wedding party, they presented Joged Bungbung to entertain everyone. Many people joined the dance together at this moment. And the craziest moment in this event is when the bride throws flowers. The invited guests were very enthusiastic to be able to get it. They are even willing to scramble to roll on the ground to be able to get flowers from the bride. This is a very iconic moment that remains in our memories. The intimacy of the event to everyone’s craziness at every moment makes us enjoy our work more and more capturing the precious moments of this couple.
